Tra Vinh University celebrated the 91st Anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union

(TVU) – On March 26, Tra Vinh University held many activities to celebrate the 91st anniversary of establishing the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2022) associated with the Youth Camp 2022, attracting nearly 5000 students.

The program had the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council, Rector of Tra Vinh University; Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice-Rector of the University; The Executive Committee of the University’s Youth Union, the Executive Committee of the University’s Student Union, together with representatives of the units of Tra Vinh University and the staff of the School Union through the periods.

This year’s camp took place from March 26 to March 27, 2022, with more than 50 sub-camps and many exciting activities, including folk games, displaying hometown specialties, the contest designing the camp’s gate, the fashion contest, youth startup stalls, etc.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council, Rector of Tra Vinh University, congratulated the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for its 91 years of formation and development and praised the achievements and outstanding results that the youth of Tra Vinh University have reached in recent years. The school rector called on the entire generation of students to strive and practice, contributing to the strong development of the student movement and always reminding themselves of “a bright mind, a kind heart and a great ambition.”

In particular, in response to the Earth Hour 2022 campaign, the entire camp together turned off the lights to show the spirit of contributing to saving electricity and protecting the environment, spreading the message “Creating a future – now or never.”

On this occasion, the university awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee and the typical startup student badge to Nguyen Ba Loc, a student of Chemical Engineering, class of 2017. The university also awarded 04 scholarships (2 million VND for each) to students who overcome difficulties in studying.
