DNVN – In 2024, Tra Vinh University (university code DVT) is scheduling nationwide admissions for regular undergraduate programs in 47 majors, master’s programs in 19 majors, and doctoral programs in 10 majors, as well as specialist programs I and II, offering opportunities for students to select their preferred fields of study.

Tra Vinh University (TVU) considers admissions for a wide range of preferred fields of study, including 47 undergraduate majors, 19 master’s majors, and 10 doctoral majors, as well as specialist programs I and II. These majors belong to the university’s training areas, such as Agriculture and Aquaculture; Engineering and Technology; Health Sciences; Economics and Law; Logistics and Management; Pedagogy; Applied Chemistry, Tourism, Restaurant and Hotel Services, Biotechnology, Environment, Southern Khmer Language – Culture – Arts, and Sports Management, etc. Students have ample opportunities to select their favorite majors at TVU and pursue higher levels of education.
The university also plans to diversify the admission methods, including considering the results of the 2024 national graduation examination; high school academic records (academic transcript); the results of the competency assessment examination organized by the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; direct admissions according to the regulations of the admission regulations issued by the Ministry of Education and Training; admissions for students from School of Pre-University at TVU, Ethnic Minority Pre-University School; admissions for international students who have completed high school, and admissions for study abroad students.

In addition to diversifying the admission methods, the university always emphasizes the quality assurance of education according to international standards, providing learners with opportunities to access advanced education systems worldwide and gain a competitive advantage in the international labor market. Students have the opportunity to intern or participate in international research projects, scholarships for studying abroad, or join student exchange programs.
Currently, the university offers 19 accredited education programs according to international standards, contributing to placing TVU among the top universities in the Mekong Delta region with many programs achieving international quality education accreditation.
Among them, there are 7 programs accredited by FIBAA in Europe, 11 programs accredited by AUN – QA in Southeast Asia, and 1 program accredited by ABET in the United States. The Odonto – Stomatology major meets the accreditation standards of the Ministry of Education and Training (the accreditation process is ongoing for the remaining 20 to 25 programs).
TVU has 11 education programs accredited international quality education AUN-QA, including Agriculture, Aquaculture, Veterinary Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Pharmacy, Khmer Language, Food Technology, Master of Cultural Studies, Early Childhood Education, and English Studies.
Moreover, there are 7 programs accredited the international education standards FIBAA including Business Administration, Economics, Law, Accounting and Finance, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Economics. The Information Technology program is accredited for quality by ABET.
A favorable environment and numerous policies.
According to the university leadership, developing Co-op programs has been one of TVU’s highlights for many years, bringing significant benefits to three parties: students, the university, and businesses. Most businesses prefer graduates who have at least 1 to 2 years of experience, and the Co-op program has addressed this issue effectively.
Accordingly, students have the opportunity to experience, work, and learn practical tasks at businesses while still studying, and receive a salary. After graduation, businesses also prioritize hiring these students because they can start working immediately without incurring additional costs for practical training.
Additionally, the university always implements favorable policies that prioritize learners, such as providing 100% tuition fee exemption for students in pedagogical fields and traditional musical instrument performance. There is also a 30% tuition fee reduction for students in Cultural Studies and Musical Studies. Every year, the university awards numerous scholarships to encourage academic achievement, as well as scholarships from sponsors specifically for students facing financial difficulties.
Alongside that, there are also many scholarships equivalent to 50% of tuition fees available for female students studying in the fields of engineering and technology, such as Construction Technology of Traffic Works, Mechanical Engineering; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Automation and Control Engineering; Automotive Engineering…. Additionally, there are scholarships equivalent to 30% of tuition fees for female students studying in the field of Applied Chemistry.
Currently, the university has actively built a multicultural community for students through collaborative activities and international exchanges. With over 100 students from Cambodia and Laos studying at the university, as well as many interns, volunteers, and experts from Canada, the United States, the Philippines, South Korea, etc., participating in the university’s activities.
The internationalization of the educational experience for domestic students is seen as the key to unlocking their potential as global citizens. Attracting international students to study is also a way to build a multicultural environment and provide additional learning and experiential opportunities for Vietnamese students, as stated by the university leadership.
TVU has been consistently ranked in the top 200 universities for sustainable development and social contributions by the UI Greenmetric World University Rankings for four consecutive years. It has also received the prestigious Vietnam Digital Awards (VDA) for two consecutive years for outstanding digital transformation.
Recently, TVU climbs to the 43rd position in the top 100 of the WURI Ranking 2023, recognizing its positive impact and contributions to society. This represents an improvement of 19 places compared to 2022, 28 places compared to 2021, and 43 places compared to 2020.
