On April 20th , 2012, Tra Vinh University (TVU) solemnly organized the Opening Ceremony of the Foreign Language Books at the Library to nearly twenty thousand books donated by Cengage Learning Asia and Oxford University Press thanks to the mobilization of Prof. Vo Van Truong and his wife from Canadian -Vietnamese Network Education and De La Cheneliere Foundation Organization.
The opening ceremony was honored to welcome Dr. Nguyen Thanh My-the founder and Vice President of Canadian -Vietnamese Network Education – Chairman and CEO of Mylan Group and his wife, Ms. Nguyen Hien Hoa- Senior Marketing Executive – Cengage Learning Asia Pte. Ltd and volunteers of WUSC organization. Participants at TVU were Mr. Tran Hoan Kim- President of Advisory Council- Former Chairman of Tra Vinh Province, Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh-Rector of TVU, Mr. Vo Hoang Khai – Vice Rector of TVU along with representatives of Departments and Faculties.
The Foreign Language Books of TVU officially operated thanks to the great support of Pro.Vo Van Truong’s family, Dr. Nguyen Thanh My, Mr. Michel De La Chenelière, Mr. Tat Chu Tan along with other individuals and units.
At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Thanh My expressed that “Mr. Truong, Mr. Sinh and I always pay attention to the life quality of Vietnamese. We met and founded the Canadian- Vietnamese Network Education in 2007”. “This ceremony would be more significant and meaningful if Dr. Truong could participate” added Dr. My
Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh expressed his gratitude to Prof. Vo Van Truong, Dr. Nguyen Thanh My, the individuals and units for their support to Tra Vinh University. He confirmed that the trust, support and help of individuals and organizations would be the great motivation for TVU to have sustainable development in education and training for the community.
