Tra Vinh University’s Summer Volunteer Campaign: Bringing light and hope to Long Vinh Commune
On August 6th, Tra Vinh University’s Youth Union completed and handed over two significant projects in Long Vinh Commune, Duyen Hai District:
- A solar-powered lighting system named “Lighting Up Rural Roads”
- A drainage system called “Community Drainage System”
With a total investment of nearly 70 million VND, these projects aim to improve the local infrastructure and living conditions.
Cultural exchange and charity event
In collaboration with Tra Vinh Province’s Youth Activity Center and the Command of the “Green March” Volunteer Campaign of Tra Vinh Province’s Border Guard, the university organized a cultural program titled “Journey of Soldiers’ Songs”. The event featured performances by:
- Actor Thanh Thuc
- Singer Bich Ly
- Soccer player Huynh Nhu
During this occasion, the university’s delegation:
- Donated 10 bicycles and 20 gift packages to underprivileged students in Long Vinh Commune
- Received a special gift from Huynh Nhu – her prized No. 9 jersey from her time playing for Lank FC (Portugal)
