Tra Vinh University leads in research on disease-free breed simphr

(TVU) -The remarkable achievement in scientific research on “Creating disease-free first-generation breed shrimp in Tra Vinh province” by Dr. Huynh Kim Huong, Deputy Dean of School of Agri-aquaculture of Tra Vinh University (TVU) is highly evaluated by its far-reaching impact on community.

Ms. Thach Thi Dan, TVU Vice Rector said: “The success of this research will contribute greatly to farmers’ demand of source of breed shrimp towards sustainable development in both Tra Vinh province and in the Mekong River Delta.”

An expert in breed shrimp, Mr. Tran Cong Binh, Director of breed shrimp Company highly evaluated this successful scientific research when these breeds will be able to grow strong and boost reproduction of this disease-free first generation.

“This special breed is growing good and healthy,” said a farmer in Duyen Hai district.

Research on production of disease-free shrimps for breed-producing farms by Tra Vinh University will meet huge demand of breed shrimps for farmers.

According to the strategic plan on aquaculture development in 2020 and vision to 2030, Tra Vinh province will account for 25.788,4 ha and 28.160 ha respectively with more than ten billion breed shrimps.
