Tra Vinh University organized Job Fair and Career Orientation for students in 2011.

 Organizing Job Fair and Career Orientation for students is one of the annual  practical activities at Tra Vinh University. The aim of the Fair is to create opportunities for students have access to and be familiar with procedures and conditions as well as career counseling, employment standards of companies and enterprises etc… in and outside the province.

The Fair had the presence of Mr. Thach Sone, Deputy Chief of Propaganda Board, Mr. Bui Van Binh, Deputy Director of Home Affairs, Mr. Tran Hoan Kim-former Chairman of Tra Vinh provincial People’s Committee – President of TVU Advisory Council, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung and Mr. Vo Hoang Khai, Vice Rectors of TVU, the representatives of  Provincial Departments and Boards,  companies, enterprises, Heads of Offices, Faculties, Centers  and students of the University.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice Rector of TVU gave the opening speech at the Fair. He acknowledged the interest from the Ministry of Education and Training, Tra Vinh provincial People’s Committee,provincial departments, boards, companies and enterprises to Tra Vinh University. The school will continue to promote the achievements in training, develop human resources which best serve the needs of society, particularly satisfy the criteria of educational quality, including criteria for student employability after graduation.

The organizers have invited two experts from two employers giving advice about career orientation for students studying at TVU.  As a result, students are provided with information, knowledge, experience , answered questions  in job interviews.

According to the evaluation of employers, this  Job Fair has large scale in organization,  well-prepared and widely announced. The Fair has attracted   more than 2,000 students and 19 companies, with 945 candidates applied for  job interviews, 75% of which was selected. Most of the companies attended with the purpose of advertisement their company products and total employment of about 4000 targets workers.
