TVU – On January 27, 2024, Tra Vinh University organizes the “TVU Connect” music festival – A journey of connecting students to welcome the 11th National Congress of Vietnamese Student Unions, term 2023 – 2028, marking the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2024) and the 19th Anniversary of the establishment of the Art Club of Tra Vinh University.
Attending the program are representatives from the Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union, the sponsor Tzu Chi Foundation, leaders of Tra Vinh University including Vice Principal Thach Thi Diem Kieu, leaders of university departments, the Secretary of the Youth Union, the Chair of the Student Association, and over 1,000 youth union members, student association members, and students.
In her opening speech, Vice Principal Thach Thi Dan welcomes everyone to the exciting atmosphere as the new year approaches and the vibrant energy of youth union members and students striving to achieve good results to celebrate major events this year, especially the successful 11th National Congress of Vietnamese Student Unions. She expresses her appreciation to sponsoring organizations for scholarships awarded to disadvantaged students, and wishes a happy new year to all staff, lecturers, students, and pupils.
The music festival features many attractive art performances to welcome the 2024 Year of the Cat, including solos, duets, dances, modern dances, and especially an exchange with guest singers G5R SQUAD.
Tra Vinh University cooperates with Tzu Chi Foundation to award scholarships totaling 375,530,000 VND to Tra Vinh University students, divided into 2 semesters in the 2023-2024 academic year, to promote the learning society construction movement and the continuous development of education. 45 Tet gifts are also distributed to disadvantaged students unable to return home for the holidays.
In addition, awards are presented for the contest to design publications celebrating the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam organized by the Tra Vinh University Youth Union. The contest attracts over 50 entries from university organizations and clubs.
