(TVU) – On February 28, Career Service Center of Tra Vinh University organized a practical experience and career orientation field trip for 35 students from various disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Control and Automation Technology, Agriculture, Food Technology, and Plant Protection… to Ben Tre Import and Export Join Stock Corp (BETRIMEX) accompanied by Mr. Nguyen Phi Cong, Director of Career Service Center, and School members.
The primary objective of the visit was to connect the university with the enterprise, providing students with real-world experience in work environments and helping them gain better career perspectives. Students were introduced to the company’s 49-year history and process of production, learning about coconut-based products popular in European, American, and Chinese markets that generate significant economic value.
During the trip, the delegation met with coconut research experts, food processing specialists, and company technicians to explore potential collaboration opportunities. They discussed research possibilities ranging from embryo and tissue culture of traditional coconut varieties to wax coconut varieties – a distinctive advantage of TVU and a signature product of Tra Vinh province.
The trip also included visits to notable patriotic sites in Ben Tre province to educate students about national traditions. Students visited the Memorial House of Female General Nguyen Thi Dinh and the Dong Khoi Historical Site.
Through this excursion, the university hopes to strengthen connections between academic institutions and businesses further, aiming to develop training products that meet high-quality human resource needs in line with enterprise development.
