TVU students strongly spread the spirit of voluntary blood donation

A lot of students are all ready for blood donation

(TVU) – “A drop of blood given – A life to stay” – that is the common message which most students of Tra Vinh University want to send to everyone when they participate in voluntary blood donation activities on the morning of June 7th, 2020, in response to the World Blood Donor Day (June 14). A lot of students are all ready for blood donation.

Sharing feelings about the 14th blood donation, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam, TVU Communication Club, said: “Every year, I take part in the voluntary blood donation and mobilize my friends to join. I realized that voluntary blood donation is a meaningful and useful work for the society and the community.”

“The Youth Union members should actively respond and participate in voluntary blood donation activities launched by all levels, branches and organizations. Each of their small deeds will not only help save lives of the sick, but also propagate and educate the compassion, love for people and help society become better and better” – Mr.Nam said.

This is the third time in the school year 2019 – 2020, the Youth Union, the Student Association of Tra Vinh University in collaboration with Can Tho Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital organize the voluntary blood donation program, in order to call for the spread of beautiful human values of each civil servant, official, lecturer and student of the whole school.

As one of many first-year students participating in voluntary blood donation for the first time, Tran Mong Thanh Nghi, a student majoring in Fisheries of 2019 course, said: “I am very happy to know that my blood drops can save lives of others. Participating in this meaningful activity is one of the way to demonstrate my responsibility and honor spreading the spirit of “the leaves protect tattered ones”, showing enthusiasm and sharing with the community.”

This time, Can Tho Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center received nearly 250 units of blood from school volunteers.
