TVU Youth Union offers more than 50,000 cartons of milk to children


On August 10, 2021, TVU Youth Union offers more than 50,000 cartons of milk to disadvantaged children in all districts and towns of Tra Vinh province.

The “Milk for children” program launched by the TVU Youth Union has mobilized about 300 million VND from domestic and foreign sponsors. The fund has been purchased to buy milk and sent to 9 districts of Tra Vinh province. In which, Duyen Hai district receives 641 cartons of milk, Tra Cu district receives 146 cartons of milk, Tra Vinh city receives 103 cartons of milk, and the rest goes to other districts according to the corresponding number of disadvantaged children.


Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, TVU Vice-Rector, said: “Due to the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, TVU gives priority to activities for the community. TVU has launched a volunteering program with the lecturers and students in the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology, doctors, and nurses of TVU Hospital joining the frontline of fighting the epidemic at the provincial hospitals; participating in organizing the vaccination; preparing hand sanitizer for high schools, agencies; supporting farmers to consume longans; donating necessities to poor people, and so on.

TVU Youth Union also donated 300 anti-droplet glasses to the anti-epidemic forces in Duyen Hai and Tra Cu district, and 20 cartons of noodles to disadvantaged people in the Cau Ngang district.

Through community activities, TVU students are nurtured in the spirit of mutual affection and practice professional skills by volunteer programs. Thereby, young people can both train themselves in political integrity and professional competence.
