(TVU) – On Sep 6 2016, Dr. Fredric William Swierczek, Director of Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AIT-VN) and the delegation worked with Tra Vinh University (TVU) for seeking co-operation opportunities in research and training. Assoc. Prof. Pham Tiet Khanh, TVU Rector and Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, TVU Vice Rector warmly welcomed the delegation.
At the meeting, the two institutes delivered overview about training programs and potential projects for the co-operation between AIT-VN and TVU. Short-term training courses including how to write persuadable proposals for grants have been focused at the discussion.
Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung expressed his sincere thanks to the delegation for the visit. The Vice Rector committed that TVU is always willing to co-operate with universities and institutes in research and training.
Dr. Fredric William Swierczek, Director of AIT-VN looked forward to fruitful co-operation with TVU in implementing climate change adaption projects in Mekong Delta.
TVU is going to implement projects about climate change adaption in Tra Vinh province. On Sep 22 2016, the international conference with the theme “Agriculture for Sustainable Development” will be taken place in Tra Vinh University.
