On December 8, 2011, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen- Director of Ethnic Affair Department accompanied by Mr. Bui Quoc Cuong- Vice Director of Tra Vinh Education and Training Department visited and worked with TVU. Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Mr. Le Van Don- Vice Rectors of TVU and some representatives of departments welcomed Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Sau- Dean of Faculty of Language, Culture of Southern Khmer and Basic Science and Ms. Thach Thi Om Nara- Lecturer of the Faculty introduced the delegation an overview of TVU and the unit of Southern Khmer culture with the special features of Khmer people in Tra Vinh Province.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen expressed her delight of knowing some recent achievements in education and training of TVU. She also desired TVU to continue to promote its achievements and to have a better position in the region and in world.
On behalf of TVU Rector Board, Vice Rector Nguyen Tien Dung expressed his deep thanks to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen’s visit. He also confirmed that TVU was very honor to welcome her and her attention would be a big encouragement for TVU staff to carry out the tasks of education, training and development of the university. Mr. Dung also hoped that with the interests of Departments, Ministries TVU would be more successful in applying community model and be able to implement the slogan “Bringing the quality education to the community”.
