Attending the ceremony were Mr. Từ Minh Điền, Chairman of the Red Cross Association, Deputy Head of the Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign Committee of Tra Vinh province; Journalist Hòa Hội, representative of Tien Phong Newspaper in the Mekong Delta region. On the side of Tra Vinh University, Dr. Thạch Thị Dân, Vice Rector; Ms. Phạm Lê Phương Thảo, Vice Secretary of the Youth Union, President of the Student Union attended.

Mr. Từ Minh Điền shared: The blood donation activity with the message “One drop of blood given, a life remains” is a meaningful activity, showing the humanitarian spirit, compassion, tolerance, and sharing in life. Although science and technology have made great progress, scientists have not yet studied blood substitute products. Moreover, the amount of blood in the country is not enough to meet the treatment needs of patients, many unfortunate cases occur, and society always focuses on propaganda and mobilizing voluntary blood donation to meet the current demand for blood resources.

TVU’s Student Union organized to strengthen the Executive Committee of the Voluntary Blood Donor Club and awarded awards to individuals who have made positive contributions to blood donation over the past time.
