(TVU) – On the morning of February 26th, the Ministry of Science and Research, Culture and Arts of Hessen State and the World University Service of the Federal Republic of Germany (WUS) organize the Scholarship Awarding Ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year for 71 outstanding students from the Southern region at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City).
Among these, 3 students from Tra Vinh University are honoured to receive this year’s scholarship, including Nguyen Long Nhan, a Business Administration A class of 2023 student; Lam Truong Vinh, a Fisheries B class of 2022 student; and Bui Quoc Dinh, a Preventive Medicine class of 2019 student.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Bui Cong Tho, Head of the Hessen-Vietnam Office, explains that the HESSEN Scholarship is a prestigious and traditional program from the Ministry of Science and Research, Culture and Arts of Hessen State, Federal Republic of Germany, administered through the German World University Support Organization, targeting disadvantaged students with a spirit of overcoming difficulties and achieving outstanding academic achievements.
Dr. Bui Cong Tho believes that with the program’s support, students will continue to study hard, promote creative spirit and scientific research, and contribute positively to the country’s and community’s development.
Sharing his emotions upon receiving the scholarship, Bui Quoc Dinh, a Preventive Medicine class of 2019 student, expresses gratitude to the Ministry of Science and Research, Culture and Arts of Hessen State and the World University Service of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Dinh states, “The moment my name was called, receiving the certificate and taking photos with respected teachers and sponsors is not just a source of pride but also a great motivation for me to continue striving. This scholarship supports my educational expenses and recognizes my continuous efforts. I understand that my responsibility is studying well, cultivating ethics, developing skills, and maximizing this opportunity to develop myself and contribute to society. The Hessen Scholarship is a spiritual encouragement and a stepping stone to be more confident on my journey of conquering knowledge and building my future.”
This year, the program awards 250 scholarships, each worth 216 Euros, to 250 outstanding students across Vietnam. The 35-year journey of the Hessen State Scholarship is evidence of the state government’s sustainable commitment to Vietnamese education. This is not just financial support but also a recognition and encouragement for students with a spirit of overcoming challenges, helping them continue steadily on their educational path.
