The university has always determined that training quality human resources, associated with the practice, serving the development of the Mekong Delta and the whole country is one of the key tasks. TVU focuses on investing in many specific industries, expanding new sectors in the direction of diversification, and closely linking the business community and the demand for quality human resources for socio-economic development in the region in fields of energy, electricity, ports, sustainable agriculture, fisheries, climate change adaptation, health sciences, engineering – technology, economy, culture, tourism, biotechnology, management environment, logistics, artificial intelligence…
The university pays special attention to strongly improving training quality and breaking through international integration in training and research activities, especially in international education quality assurance activities for training programs. Training is strongly linked with enterprises inside and outside the province in training by employer address, significantly expanding the Coop training program – TVU’s specific training model.

Recently, in order to solve the problem of scarcity of high-quality human resources in the Logistics industry, TVU has established a Logistics and E-Commerce Training Center. The school is also a pioneer in developing the Coop training program for this industry.
Starting the enrollment season of 2023, TVU officially enrolls students in these two “hot” subjects. In particular, TVU has just become a member and head of the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association (Valoma) in the Mekong Delta.

In the Top Mekong Delta for international quality training programs
TVU is one of the top universities in the Mekong Delta, with many programs that have achieved international education quality accreditation according to the quality standards of AUN-QA, FIBAA, and ABET, with 13 programs having international quality accreditation.
Among them, 5 training programs meet AUN-QA international education quality standards, including Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, and Khmer language. 7 training programs meeting FIBAA international educational accreditation are Business Administration, Economics, Law, Accounting, Finance and Banking, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Economic Management. And one program meets the ABET quality accreditation, which is Information Technology.
The school is continuing to expand international education accreditation of AUN, ABET, and FIBAA for the remaining disciplines.

In the admission season of 2023, Tra Vinh University enrolls students nationwide with the enrollment school code of DVT for 52 undergraduate majors. The selection methods are expected as follows: (1) Based on the results of the high school graduation exam in 2023; (2) Based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. (3) Basing on the high school results (Study records); (4) Direct admission according to the provisions of the Regulation on enrollment issued by the Ministry of Education and Training; (5) Admission of students to the Faculty of Pre-University – Tra Vinh University, and Ethnic Preparatory School.
In addition, TVU also enrolls 10 doctoral programs, 25 master’s programs, and 5 specialties at level 1: Internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and maxillofacial dentistry.

Many policies are developed for learners
Currently, TVU has expanded cooperation with more than 90 international partners, institutes, and schools in many fields, including training cooperation, exchange of students, lecturers, volunteers, and international experts… and cooperation in implementing grant projects, applied research, promoting many projects related to short-term and long-term scholarship funding for lecturers and students, developing Lab – an invention space for students and lecturers, linking in international training.

TVU always has many good policies towards learners, such as: a 100% tuition fee exemption and reduction for students in education (according to Government Decree 116) and traditional musical instrument performance. 30% tuition fee reduction for students majoring in cultural and musical studies. The special incentive scholarship of equivalent to 50% of the full course fee for female students studying engineering and technology and 30% of the tuition fee for students of applied chemistry.
In addition, there are scholarships from sponsors for students who overcome difficulties, scholarships to encourage students to study, and policies to support students in scientific research.
The university also supports students with start-up loans and implements policies for students from poor households, ethnic minorities, policy families, and disadvantaged groups according to current regulations.
The Oral and Maxillofacial treatment area, General Clinic, and Tra Vinh University Hospital under TVU are addressed to care for the health of students and the community.
The school resource center is an ideal destination for students. It is spacious and clean, with a rich source of books and a computer system with a good internet connection, an electronic library, and digitization of learning materials, books, and national and international magazines, which are completely free. The dormitory is located on the school‘s campus. It is green, clean, beautiful, comfortable, and safe, with a capacity of 3,500 seats.
